"The" Machine

Ok, for two months now I have been trying to get the frame and "The" machine together. Eveytime it looks like I am close, something goes awry and it is delayed. Here are some pictures of the process.
First, we put the frame and tracks together

Then the tubes were sanded as we had to have them rough cut.

Then we attached the braces, tube and put the machine on its carriage.

Then I loaded some fabric to play with the machine - you know, load the bobbin, adjust the tensions, etc.

Now we are setting up the computerized part, which is showing that there is a problem someplace else. So we are halted till next week when we have more time to figure it out.

Last post for today

Made these cute little coin purses from my own pattern. These are so great to carry with just the few essentials, instead of a big, ole purse. They are crazy fun to make. The pink one went to my sister too!

Business Card holders

Found these in my unfinished pile, finished them and they are ready to share. Oh, yes, there is also a little purse thrown in the picture but I sent that cutie off to my sister in Colorado along with another that I forgot to take a picture of. The pattern for the business card holder comes from a Time to Stitch. Sherry has wonderful in the hoop projects for embroiderers!

A whole year!

Yes, it has been a whole year plus since my last postings. You know, life just happens. And boy did it happen to me. We had our hottest summer on record this year which caused my solar screen business to just go wild! Yes, that IS good but it was hard on the crafty side. So now it is slowing down and I am sewing and quilting again. And speaking of quilting......next week I will have my new long arm quilting machine and frame. It is in transit right now and I am so excited. It has been quite a year!

Purses, purses

Well, they may be small but they are so very useful, don't you think? I just love making these little treasures and even more fun, giving them away.
