Fall and Halloween Postcard Swap

Let me tell you, these things are addictive! The ideas are endless and the way to make them is all up to you! My kind of gift. I sure hope my swap partner likes these I sent to her
This is the fall one. It is simple machine embroidery design with great punch, I think.

The next one is a fun halloween design to bring out the kid in all of us! I sent one of these to my youngest daughter in Arkansas. I know she will appreciate the humor!

You really should try one of these. The finished card should measure 4x6" and can be hand stamped at the post office and mailed in 4x6 plastic recipe card holder to keep them nice while they travel.

Tooth Fairy Pillow

My niece, Kristi, called to tell me that her oldest, Ellie, just lost her last baby tooth. While putting it in the tooth fairy pillow I made for her years ago, her brother, Malachi, watched intently. The he asked Kristi, "when is Aunt Trudie going to make me a tooth fairy pillow?". Of course, Kristi called me right away to tell me and because Malachi has a loose tooth. So, while sewing yesterday I made the his tooth fairy pillow. I will mail it out tomorrow and hopefully it will make it to him before he looses that tooth! LOL

Finally, I got to sew!

It has been months since I've really had any time to sit down and sew. I was able to finish some long overdue baby gifts, this clock
and an embroidered blanket and some burp cloths, another clock and blanket that I will post pics of later. These last ones are for my newest grandson, Asher Rome Edward. That name is a mouthful all by itself but he is a tiny little thing. At two months, he almost weighs 8 pounds!

Star in Star Block

Here is a great quilt block we are doing on piecequiltndivas yahoo group. It is a monthly swap using a different color each month for the block. This is going to make a fantastic quilt (or two) next year!

Blue Daisy PC

My goodness, it has been awhile since I last posted. I've been so busy first with the holidays, and now with tax season. Don't you just love this time of year? HaHa
I was able to spend a little time sewing and created another pincushion that I gave away in a swap. I call it my blue daisy. I've also done one in pink, yellow and white and will post pictures of those soon. I hope you are all enjoying a moment or two for yourselves and your creations. Happy New Year!
