Pincushions - who can have too many?

Well, definitely not me! I LOVE them. So, I joined another swap for pincushions and got the cutest ones in the mail. It was to be in the shape of the first letter of your first name. This are the ones sent to me and if your first name begins with a "T", you cannot have them!


Now, in return, these are the ones I made for the other ladies.


I just love to see the different creative processes everyone uses.

Babies

Wow, it must really be that time of year. The babies are coming fast and furious (no pun intended, moms!)
A wonderful Grandma gave me some cloth diapers and asked if I could decorate them for burp cloths for her new granddaughter. Having never done such a thing, I said "sure!" This is my attempt at making burp cloths from the cloth diapers!

And these too. Did you know there are 12 diapers in each package?

These were actually alot of fun to make and Grandma Tina and granddaughter Paisley loved them!
Usually I make baby clocks for the newborns but I tried this framed embroidered piece for a change of pace and it turned out real cute. Opens up a whole new idea wagon for me! What do you think?

Not to give up my clocks, another precious baby girl needed one for her room. Funny how these two girls, born a month apart, have such similar names - Paisley Evelynn and Piper Evelyn. I hope Piper likes her cloth!

Towel Swap Update

Well, another month has passed and another towel swap completed. This month I made an apron from a towel for my swap partner. I used a coordinating fabric to square up the towel and this is how it turned out! Pretty cute huh?

This is the last post for today. I finished a mitten block swap and mailed out all my blocks. Here is a picture of a few extra ones I made for my quilt. I think this will make the cutest quilt, don't you?

Towel Swap

I have been involved in a year long tea-towel swap. The guideslines are to use a tea-towel, either decorated or used to make something. The ideas have been wonderful. I've received the cutest apron,







a purse and towels decorated to use or display. I've made placemats with attached napkin holder and napkin,






a casserole carrier, and some just decorated.



This has been a great swap!

Travel Trays

If you have not seen this cute idea before, you are about to fall in love. These gems are quick to make and fun to take. This picture is one I made for a friend for her birthday. Of course, she sings "lead" in barbershop style singing in a Sweet Adelines Chorus is Ft. Worth hence the design.









This picture shows the tray unsnapped and flat for easy packing in your suitcase. When you get to your hotel room, just snap together for a convenient tray to put your room key, watch, cell phone, etc in. Makes keeping track of those items so easy.











I also included in her gift this matching tissue holder and ID wallet.
